Ally McCoist, a legend of the Leicester City Rangers, said that he would have Jamie Vardy at Ibrox “in two minutes.”

When Vardy’s contract at the King Power Stadium ends this summer, he will depart Leicester City.

As they defeated Ipswich Town 2-0 at home last Sunday, he scored his 200th goal in his 500th appearance, capping off his final game with the team.

On Sunday, the last day of the Premier League season, Vardy will not be playing when Ruud van Nistelrooy’s team travels to play Bournemouth.

Speaking about Vardy’s future on talkSPORT, McCoist said: “Something tells me that he’s got something organised.

“Whether it’s America or another club, I think he’ll have something organised.

“Now, we were having this discussion yesterday, me and my Rangers mates. I would take him in two minutes at Rangers. I really, really would.

“I’d take him in two minutes.”

Meanwhile, former Leicester and Scotland striker Paul Dickov thinks Vardy should snub any interest from Rangers or Celtic and stay in the Premier League.
