On Sunday, Everton’s 2024/25 campaign came to an end, and they did so in style.
David Moyes led his team to victory over Newcastle United, almost spoiling the Champions League party.
But Everton were capping off a solid second half of the season with three significant points against a top side.
The Friedkins are prepared to back Moyes in the transfer market following his success on Merseyside since his appointment in January.
With the relocation to the new stadium in the coming months, the new owners will be looking to make a big signing during the summer.
Everton have indicated interest in Richarlison, and the Brazilian’s end-of-season letter says volumes about his future with Tottenham Hotspur.
Richarlison issues Everton transfer clue in Tottenham message
Everton are prioritising the signing of a new striker in the summer to address difficulties in front of goal.
And a return for their former star, Richarlison, has been heavily mooted, with his time in north London perhaps coming to an end.
However, his message to Spurs fans after their final game against Brighton & Hove Albion may have shed light on his future.
“Finally, to somehow repay the affection I have received over the last few years from Spurs fans and all those who support me,” he said in what was a long message to the fans.
“Thank you to everyone who was by my side and took part in this special moment, always believing in me and encouraging me even in the most difficult moments. Thank you to Tottenham – the board, players, coaching staff, employees – and to my entire staff – for having achieved this together!”
But perhaps the most interesting line was how he signed off, by saying: “And let’s go for more!”
Many Everton fans are concerned about Richarlison’s injury issues, which have plagued the forward since he left Merseyside.
However, based on his message, it appears that he intends to stay in north London and compete for more cutlery
Tottenham’s Europa League triumph may have ended Richarlison hopes
It was always going to be a potentially controversial transfer among Everton fans, but Wednesday night may have been pivotal in Richarlison’s destiny.
The Friedkins are eager to bring Richarlison to Everton this summer because they understand what he represents to the supporters.
Tottenham began the Brazilian in Bilbao, where they competed in a European final.
Despite the Friedkins’ lofty objectives, Everton is not currently in a position to offer this.
Tottenham will play Champions League football next season as a result of their Europa League success, and Richarlison may find it difficult to give up.
But if there is one team he could give up, many believe it would be Everton.
