Dundee United’s UEFA Europa Conference League second qualifying round match against UNA Strassen has officially been confirmed for the Stade Municipal de la Ville in Differdange, Luxembourg.
This switch was necessitated as UNA Strassen’s regular home ground, the Complexe Sportif Jean Wirtz, with its modest 1,500 capacity, does not meet UEFA’s requirements for continental competitions. The alternative venue in Differdange is located approximately 25 miles south-west of Strassen.
The away leg of the tie will kick off at 7:00 PM local time (6:00 PM UK time) on Thursday, July 31. The first leg is scheduled to take place at Tannadice on Thursday, July 24, with a 7:45 PM kick-off.
The Stade Municipal de la Ville is familiar territory for UNA Strassen, as it was the venue for their only previous continental fixture, a 0-0 draw against Finnish side KuPS last season, which they ultimately lost 5-0 on aggregate.

The UEFA-recognized capacity of the Stade Municipal de la Ville is slightly above 2,000. Under UEFA regulations, the visiting club is mandated to receive an allocation of at least 5% of the stadium’s UEFA-recognized capacity. Based on this, Dundee United would initially be entitled to around 100 tickets for their traveling supporters.
However, sources indicate that Dundee United officials are currently engaged in discussions with their UNA Strassen counterparts with the aim of increasing this away allocation. The club is reportedly hopeful that the number of available tickets for United fans could be significantly augmented, potentially by several hundred. Further information regarding the precise number of tickets and their availability will be released by Dundee United once these ongoing discussions, which include logistical and security considerations, have concluded.
