The Nigerian doesn’t care how the champions win at Celtic Park, as long as they right the wrongs from their January Ibrox setback.

Despite the shocking Ibrox setback in January, Cyriel Dessers feels Celtic have nothing to prove against Rangers this weekend.

Celtic are set to meet their Old Firm rivals for the first time since losing 3-0 to Philippe Clement’s club in the New Year’s rivalry. That, however, was a rare setback for the Parkhead men, who are still on track to complete a historic sixth Treble in nine years.

Sunday’s Scottish Cup victory over Hibs booked a semi-final slot and three wins against Gers, Hearts and St Johnstone will clinch a fourth straight Premiership title with six games to spare.

And that’s why Dessers insists winning this Sunday is far more important than putting on a derby show. The 21-year-old Belgian playmaker said: “No, I think we don’t really want to show what kind of really good team we are.

“We just want to win and that’s the most important thing. It doesn’t need to be always pretty or something. We just need to win and that’s our main focus now on every game.

“That we just need to win and don’t need to show everybody how good we are because we showed it already a lot of times.

“It’s now about winning every game and that’s always our mindset and it will always be our mindset every week. We prepare every game like every team.

“It’s not something special or something. We just need to focus on ourselves, focus on the next game and that’s what we are doing already now.
