Nedim Bajrami, who is out of favour, has gone to social media following a scuffle in the Albanian camp ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Andorra.
The Rangers player has battled to establish himself at Ibrox since joining the Premiership club for £3.4 million last summer.
He has been on the periphery of Barry Ferguson’s starting lineup since the Ibrox great replaced Philippe Clement in the dugout, and things haven’t improved much on the international scene.
The playmaker received harsh criticism following his performance against England at Wembley Stadium, which resulted in Albania’s 2-0 defeat.
That performance would result in him being dropped by manager Sylvinho for the match against Andorra, and sources in his home country say he was not pleased with the decision.
According to reports in Albania, Bajrami and colleague Jasir Asani were not pleased to be left out of the starting lineup.
It is claimed they “didn’t want to go to training” before the game and “had a conversation with coach Sylvinho which wasn’t very good.”
Both Bajrami and Asani did not make it off the bench during the 3-0 win and were “punished” by the coach with a “20-minute session at the end of the match.”
During the fallout, Bajrami would share an Instagram photo of himself and Asani with the speaking and silencing emojis.
Bajrami downplayed his lack of minutes at Rangers since Ferguson’s arrival ahead of the World Cup double header.
