Cheeky Kris Boyd fires jab at Chris Sutton with ‘cuddle’ callback as Rangers pile on, leaving Celtic hero dumbfounded

Boyd and the visiting supporters were overjoyed as the Light Blues won three points at Celtic Park.

Smirking Kris Boyd noises up Celtic hero Chris Sutton

Cheeky Kris Boyd offered Chris Sutton a “cuddle” in the car park after watching the Hoops lose to Rangers.

The Ibrox fan favourite was not going to let Sutton forget his grinning prior post-match offer of a hug to soothe him after the Light Blues suffered a humiliating 3-0 defeat to the Hoops in the Scottish Premiership in January following Boyd’s diatribe for the ages.

But the shoe was on the other foot for the Celtic hero as Hamza Igamane scored the game-winning goal late in the derby day classic to return all three points to Glasgow’s blue half.

Frustrated Sutton was taken aback by Brendan Rodgers and his team’s performance, citing the absence of captain Callum McGregor on Sky Sports as a major issue.

He told Sky Sports that they missed his leadership. Most of all, they missed his quality.

“In the first half they never found their rhythm in the middle of the park. I have got to say (Maik) Nawrocki, coming in I thought he had a fantastic game.

“But you didn’t see them in full flow all game. Ranges go away with all three points, but if you are in that Rangers dressing room – how do you feel?

“You have beaten Celtic twice this season, Celtic have beaten you once and you are not going to win the league. I’m not saying it’s a hollow victory, but they play when the pressure isn’t really there.
