Over the weekend, David Moyes’ side maintained their outstanding unbeaten record in the Premier League.

However, they were unable to get back to winning ways, with Jake O’Brien once again scoring a late equaliser to secure a point.

Everton are now 17 points clear of the relegation zone as the year’s first international break begins.

Arne Slot was unable to defeat Everton when the two teams clashed at Goodison Park last month.

And the Dutchman was unable to beat Eddie Howe at Wembley Stadium, prompting a priceless reaction from Jordan Pickford.

Pickford was praised for his performance against West Ham over the weekend, as he made some excellent saves to keep the Hammers from expanding their lead.

The 30-year-old has now met with his England teammates ahead of the World Cup qualifiers in the coming days.

When asked how he spent his Sunday afternoon, the Everton shot-stopper’s face did not light up.

“Watched the game,” Pickford told the England media team.

But the goalkeeper’s demeanour to the camera after saying that revealed his true sentiments.

Pickford was on the losing end of the game, and he obviously did not want Liverpool to win.

However, given his allegiance to Sunderland, he may have wanted Newcastle to suffer even greater losses.

Alan Shearer has praised Pickford this season for another excellent performance.

But the Newcastle icon will get the final laugh this weekend when the Toon broke their 70-year trophy drought.

Jordan Pickford’s England fixtures

Everton has been beset by injuries this season, and some argue that their run of draws could have been avoided if some players had returned to fitness.

Iliman Ndiaye is still out due to injury, while Dwight McNeil is another Toffees player who is sidelined for an extended period of time.

Although it would be a huge slice of bad luck, Everton will have everything crossed Pickford can come through the international break unscathed.

Everton have some massive fixtures coming up next month as they finally look to secure their survival.

Alongside training under Thomas Tuchel for the first time, Pickford has two England games he will potentially be playing in.
