With Everton experiencing success under David Moyes, Sean Dyche will feel unfairly treated by the way his tenure ended.
Dyche’s dismissal came as no surprise, and The Friedkin Group’s decision to employ Moyes was clearly inspired.
With toxicity surrounding Moyes’ predecessor, Dyche may take a break from management, as the club and manager appear to have parted ways on bad terms.
Suspicion has been raised over where Dyche will be in the coming months, although he does not appear to be making any movements soon.
Instead, he’s using the occasion to call out a few people who may be telling false stories about his time with the Toffees.
Sean Dyche is fuming at rumours about Everton stint
The former Everton manager is nothing but respectful, as Dyche praised Moyes’ performance.
The only thing he has taken with a grain of salt is people gossiping about his time with the club, implying that he eventually failed.
It’s a hard truth, given that his primary goal was to keep Everton afloat, and he’s expressed his feelings clearly to The Rest Is Football podcast.
“People are making up all these stories as if he didn’t do this, he didn’t do that,” Dyche said.
“I’m more than at ease with what I did [at Everton].”
Dyche was not a failure at Everton despite rumours
Everton knew exactly what they were looking for when they brought Dyche on board. Maintain Everton’s Premier League status.
He evidently did so with tight finishes, but they were able to maintain their rank.
It became clear that the Everton players couldn’t manage the strain, which could explain why his time with the Toffees ended so quickly.
Now it’s evident that The Friedkins made the correct decision in moving him on, but calling him a failure is harsh.
Dyche had a different era than Moyes, as it is evident that the former manager was only there to keep the ship afloat, and the reason he had to be replaced was the quality of football.
This is what Moyes gives, and the timeline appears to be working well for the team right now.
