Everton are hopeful of finalising a deal for West Bromwich Albion winger Tom Fellows this summer, according to writer Graeme Bailey.
The Toffees were close to signing the 21-year-old during the January transfer window and are allegedly ready to renew their interest when the market reopens in just over two months.
David Moyes is thought to have approved a move for Fellows shortly after taking over from Sean Dyche in January, and has now made signing the Englishman one of Everton’s summer objectives.
A deal for Fellows, who is apparently interested in joining Everton after the season, is anticipated to cost around £15 million.
Everton Remain Keen on Tom Fellows
According to Bailey, Everton are determined to complete a move for Fellows this summer because he is regarded as a ‘perfect match’ for David Moyes’ system.
The 21-year-old, described as ‘unbelievable’, has had a standout season at West Brom, scoring two goals and assisting 13 times in 42 Championship games.
The Baggies still have hopes of making the playoffs this season, but their chances are minimal as they sit six points behind Coventry in sixth with only three games remaining.
Everton are expected to make many team changes ahead of their relocation to the new Bramley-Moore Dock stadium, and they still have several contract issues to overcome.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Michael Keane, Idrissa Gueye, and Ashley Young all have contracts that are about to expire, and loan terms for Jack Harrison, Orel Mangala, and Armando Broja are also coming to an end.
Carlos Alcaraz, meanwhile, is set to join permanently after the season, though Everton may attempt to acquire another midfielder to complement him.
