According to CaughtOffside, Manchester United is one of the Premier League clubs interested in signing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo this summer.
The Red Devils, along with Liverpool, Newcastle, and Tottenham, are thought to be interested in the Cameroonian winger, with Brentford bracing for bids when the transfer window reopens in June.
The Bees are reportedly ‘going to battle’ to maintain Mbeumo this summer, and could accept offers worth over £55 million for the 25-year-old.
Mbeumo, who joined Brentford from Troyes in 2019, has just over 12 months left on his contract, which expires in the summer of 2026.
Man United Eyeing Bryan Mbeumo
Brentford are resigned to losing Mbeumo this summer, according to CaughtOffside, despite the fact that his contract has only 12 months left.
Although the Bees have the option to extend the Cameroonian’s contract for another year, they are bracing for proposals amid strong interest from Premier League powers.
Mbeumo, dubbed ‘one of the best players in the Premier League’, has been outstanding for Brentford since Ivan Toney’s departure last summer, scoring 18 goals and giving seven assists in 37 games across all competitions.
The 25-year-old is having his best season ever and is tied for fourth place among the league’s top scorers, trailing only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, and Erling Haaland.
Man United are expected to add many frontline players this summer, with Ruben Amorim also looking for a new number nine.
According to GIVEMESPORT sources, the Red Devils are one of the main suitors for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap, but they may be at a disadvantage because the 21-year-old wants to play in Europe next season.
