Everton fans will be hoping for a successful summer transfer market under Friedkins.
David Moyes has worked wonders since his return to Merseyside in January.
However, Saturday’s setback against Manchester City highlighted some of the areas that will require improvement when the window opens.
Of course, stating Everton should be dissatisfied with a loss to City demonstrates the club’s progress in recent months.
Pep Guardiola praised Everton over the weekend, saying they take set pieces better than anyone else.
However, the Blues are still lacking in talent moving forward, as they struggled to score once more.
With the window coming, one player has recently been linked with a move to Everton, which would undoubtedly offer lots of talent.
Everton tipped as potential landing spot for Kevin De Bruyne
After making what could be his final appearance against the Toffees, Everton fans praised Kevin De Bruyne for his contributions to the Premier League over the years.
It was a truly classy moment, but it may not be his last appearance in front of Everton fans.
On TalkSPORT, Scott Minto sensationally suggested Everton as a possible destination for the Belgian superstar.
“I actually just made a few notes, you could talk about Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Hove Albion, even Brentford,” he named as possible teams for De Bruyne to join.
“Crystal Palace, he could be one of the two numbers 10s, but I don’t really see that happening. But if he did want to stay in the area, why not Everton?”
De Bruyne loved the greeting from Everton fans, who will undoubtedly welcome him back to Bramley-Moore Dock this summer.
However, it would be a great surprise if De Bruyne joined any of the sides Minto suggested when he leaves the Etihad.
Kevin De Bruyne still has a lot of quality to offer
Assuming Everton could sign De Bruyne, they would gain a player of enormous quality and experience.
Jake O’Brien stopped De Bruyne a likely goal over the weekend in a display of pure perfection from the defender.
Despite his injury troubles, De Bruyne has returned to form in recent weeks, scoring against Crystal Palace the other week.
This quality was on display at Goodison Park over the weekend.
- 88 minutes played

The Friedkins want to make a statement signing, but Richarlison may be a better fit than De Bruyne.
