Kouassi, 20, has been a revelation for the Ligue 2 club this season, with his exploits at left-back putting him on the radar of the Premier League elite.

Lens, Marseille, Lyon, Monaco, Angers, and Lorient are all interested in signing the Burkina Faso international.

Kouassi’s profile makes him an appealing option for Brentford and others, and his price is projected to rise in the future.

Brentford keeping eye on Ipswich boss McKenna

Meanwhile, according to Football Insider (20 April), Brentford or Fulham could turn to Kieran McKenna if their managers go this summer.

Thomas Frank has been heavily linked with Tottenham following his impressive performances with the Bees since signing in 2018.

McKenna is highly regarded in Premier League circles, despite Ipswich’s likely relegation.
