Caoimhin Kelleher has been linked with a summer move away from Liverpool, with the Republic of Ireland international set to finish his six-year spell at Anfield.
Brentford has expressed interest in signing Caoimhin Kelleher, with Liverpool seeming increasingly likely to offload the Republic of Ireland custodian this summer. After serving as Alisson Becker’s backup at Anfield for several years, Kelleher has indicated a desire to become a No.1 elsewhere this summer.
The 26-year-old’s contract with Liverpool is about to expire, and the club is open to offers in excess of $27 million (£20 million), with Giorgi Mamardashvili scheduled to join from Valencia this summer.
Brentford has already considered bringing Kelleher on board, particularly as current first-choice keeper Mark Flekken is set to join Bayer Leverkusen.
However, Kelleher is unlikely to rush his choice, knowing that he is a desirable possibility for a number of clubs. West Ham United and recently promoted Leeds United have also expressed strong interest, according to the Liverpool ECHO.
Bournemouth is considering its options after Kepa Arrizabalaga returned to parent club Chelsea following a season-long loan spell on the South Coast.
Aston Villa may also be looking for a new custodian, with Emiliano Martinez’s future uncertain and speculations of his return to Arsenal.
After Liverpool was presented with the Premier League trophy at Anfield on Sunday, Kelleher acknowledged that he was willing to relocate in quest of regular first-team play.
“I think I’ve said it before as well that like, I feel like I’m a number one and I feel like I’m good enough to play week in, week out,” he told Optus Sport.
