Nuno Espirito Santo goes from hero to villain, as Forest could possibly be denied two targets

Premier League clubs have wasted little time in investigating the summer transfer market, with Wolves anticipating a busy summer.

Breaking Nuno Espirito Santo News, Updates and Opinion - Molineux News

As expected, the focus surrounding Wolves is on outgoings rather than incomings as Vitor Pereira tries to put his squad in shape for his first full season at Molineux.

Matheus Cunha has joined Manchester United, while Rayan Ait-Nouri is close to joining Manchester City, both of which will result in a big amount of goals leaving the Wolves’ team.

The Old Gold will need to refill in the goal department, and they are beginning to do so, as some targets have already been identified.

There is, however, an urgent concern, as other clubs share the same ambitions, indicating an early transfer rush to grab those at the top of the rankings.

Nuno Espirito Santo could have a say in Wolves’ transfer window

Wolves have had excellent success in the South American market in previous transfer windows, and they expect to find even more treasure.

Yuri Alberto, who previously worked with Pereira at Corinthians, has been linked with Wolves, but he is not the only Brazilian striker on the Old Gold’s radar.

Wolves expressed interest in Botafogo attacker Igor Jesus during the winter transfer window, and the 24-year-old now appears to be on his way to the Premier League.

Unfortunately, Jesus is set to sign with Nottingham Forest, joining Nuno Espirito Santo at the City Ground.

Wolves may miss out on another target as a result of Nuno’s early transfer activity, as Botafogo are reportedly pursuing Argentine playmaker Alvaro Montoro in response to Forest’s loss of three players.

Wolves transfer activity paused by possible exits

The Wolves have expressed interest in Montoro, but the player appears to be on his way to Brazil, according to journalist Cesar Luis Merlo of X.

Nuno’s pursuit of Jesus may have aided Botafogo’s efforts to reach an agreement with Montoro, so pulling Wolves further away from two objectives.

Despite the fact that the summer transfer window has only been open for two days, Premier League clubs are already hard at work.

As a result, Wolves are expected to lose two crucial players early on, which, although disappointing, could assist Matt Hobbs.

Hobbs understands the importance of finding a high-quality replacement for Cunha, as well as coverage for Ait-Nouri and possibly Nelson Semedo, who is still unsure of his future.

For the time being, the Old Gold will take a step back and assess what is required and which aims fit within a budget.

That yet, there is a risk in waiting for the proper time to enter the market, as evidenced by Forest’s actions at Botafogo, which have had a negative domino effect on two Wolves targets.

The summer will be critical for the Old Gold, who have the opportunity to rebound under Pereira following a string of disappointing seasons.
