David Moyes doesn’t like Jack Grealish social media outburst amid Everton links

Everton are interested in signing Jack Grealish, who is anticipated to depart Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

David Ornstein believes Jack Grealish will join Everton if it becomes clear that his time at Manchester City is coming to an end.

Pep Guardiola took a major decision to leave Grealish out of the Club World Cup team, which starts later this month.

That allows the former Aston Villa talisman more time to negotiate his departure from the Etihad Stadium, though he appears dissatisfied with his current predicament.

Everton manager David Moyes might not be pleased with what he just shared on Instagram.

Moyes is eager to bolster his forward ranks this summer, having identified it as a weakness since joining at the beginning of the year.

The Toffees are looking to recruit Liverpool’s Ben Doak, and Richarlison has been linked with a return to Goodison Park.

Jack Grealish’s name has come up in recent weeks, but knowing Moyes, he may be put off by what the England player recently wrote on social media.

Replying to talkSPORT’s Instagram reel, which discussed how poorly Guardiola has treated him, he said: “What do you want me to do score a hatty in 20.”

The 29-year-old also replied to a fan who criticised his recent performances: “Haha I’ve been bad lately? Scored 3 goals in my last 3 appearances over 45 mins but okie dokie love x.”

Uncharacteristic from Grealish so shouldn’t cause too much concern

Moyes sets a high value on recruiting the correct attitudes, and Grealish’s outburst would normally raise a warning signal for the Scotsman.

However, to be fair to the City Star, it is highly out of character for him and may even be perceived positively by some.

Footballers are frequently urged to be themselves and demonstrate personality, and this is just one example of that.

Plus, Grealish was only defending his performances, pointing out that despite his limited minutes, he has been prolific in front of goal.

In this situation, given how well-documented his easygoing demeanour is, Moyes will most likely overlook it.

Grealish is a very skilled footballer who is well-liked by his teammates, so the Toffees should not be concerned.
