Dundee United Unveil “First of its Kind” Stadium Tech in New Landmark Partnership

DUNDEE, SCOTLAND – Dundee United have taken a significant step towards modernizing their stadium experience, announcing a new partnership with Leisure Connect that introduces groundbreaking technology to Scottish football. The collaboration sees the installation of a new, state-of-the-art digital screen at The CalForth Construction Arena at Tannadice Park.

In a move described by the club as a commitment to “innovation, digitalisation and fan engagement,” the large digital screen is the first of its kind to be installed within a Scottish football stadium. It is set to become a central feature of home matchdays, designed to broadcast a wide range of content for supporters in the stands.

According to the official club statement, the screen will showcase “club messaging, fan engagement features and commercial partner promotions,” aiming to create a more dynamic and interactive environment for those attending games.

Mark Cunningham, Dundee United’s Head of Commercial, hailed the initiative as a key part of the club’s strategy to improve the supporter experience. “We’re always looking for ways to enhance the matchday experience at Tannadice and working with Leisure Connect allows us to do that in an innovative and engaging way,” Cunningham stated. He added, “The new digital screen provides a fresh platform to connect with our fans and gives our partners even greater visibility on matchdays.”

The partnership represents a significant venture for Leisure Connect, a company specializing in enhancing stadium and leisure venue experiences. Their Sales Director, Justin Gardiner, expressed his enthusiasm for the project.

“We’re delighted to be working with Dundee United and proud to see our screen installed at such an iconic ground,” said Gardiner. “Our aim is to enhance the stadium experience while creating exciting new opportunities for clubs and their commercial partners – and we’re thrilled to be part of that journey.”

This development positions Dundee United at the forefront of in-stadium technological integration in Scotland, signaling a clear ambition to blend the traditional football atmosphere at Tannadice with modern digital engagement. The club hopes the screen will not only benefit fans but also provide a more attractive platform for current and future commercial sponsors.
